Blogging Guidelines
As a member of the Fay community, your conduct in using any technology at any time, should always be guided
by the school’s five Core Values and the Major School Rules. With all your use of technology, the following precepts
should be kept in mind…
✴ I will only use first names (and last initial if necessary).
✴ I will not gang up on anyone.
✴ I am responsible for anything posted in my name.
✴ I will only post links that are relevant to the topic.
✴ I will not plagiarize other blogs, but I can quote them.
✴ I will try to use proper English, that is, ‘correct’ spelling and grammar…
✴ I will stay on topic.
✴ I will only link to appropriate websites.
✴ I won’t say anything I wouldn’t say in school or “face to face.”
✴ I won’t post personal information about other people or myself, including
photographs.
✴ I will use common sense.
If you ever have any question as to whether something is appropriate or not, you should stop what you are doing
and ask the advise of a teacher or member of the technology department. Doing something inappropriate and then
claiming that you “didn’t know” is simply not an acceptable excuse.
